The Academy Art Museum invites the community to come together on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from noon – 4 pm for the 14th Annual Juneteenth Celebration—a block-party style event located on South Street in front of the Museum. This celebration promises a full day of music, art, food, and family ...fun. This year’s theme, “Our Freedom! Our Story!”, centers on the power of storytelling to honor African American history, culture, and resilience.

FOOD & VENDORS: Juneteenth fan favorite Spanky’s Soul Food will be back to serve their delicious food again this year. Juneteenth food vendors will be located on the corner of Harrison and South Streets.

Tuesday, June 17th, 2025 at 1:00pm at the Talbot County Free Library located at100 W. Dover St., Easton MD don't miss - A Date with History Lecture Series: Talbot County's United States Colored Troops: A Story of Valor and Honor with Clara L. Small, Ph.D.

“Over 600 Talbot ...County United States Colored Troops (USCT), slave and free, fought valiantly during the Civil War for their freedom and to help preserve the Union. Their collective stories of gallantry and survival also included the establishment of Unionville, upon their return to Talbot County at the conclusion of the war.”

This is presented by the Talbot Historical Society.

The lecture is free to the public, but reservations are requested.
