The brick sidewalks and bustling streets of Downtown Easton are preparing to play host to the town’s Fall Kickoff Event on October 4th and 5th, which promises to be bigger than ever this year!
You can bet your Autumn dollar that it will be a fun time for all!
As in previous years, various businesses throughout downtown Easton will have giant pumpkins professionally carved and decorated in their storefronts, depicting fall themes, pop culture, and more. Visitors are encouraged to stroll through town and take pictures of their favorite pumpkin along the pumpkin trail or take a free horse-drawn carriage ride down the historic streets courtesy of Tanglao Carriage Driving.
The Academy Art Museum will also host pumpkin paintings for children to decorate to take home. AAM will also host the fall outdoor movie night with a free showing of Barry Sonnenfeld’s The Addams Family. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs as they enjoy the ambiance of the cozy, historic atmosphere to enjoy the feature film. Local bands will be playing live in several areas, as well as phenomenal juggling demonstrations from professional juggler and entertainer Cascading Carlos.
The Easton Family YMCA will be the center of the new additions, boasting activities that will be available throughout the event to keep little ones engaged. The Be With Me Playseum will offer cookie decorating for an additional flare of creative fun. Local hobby shop Two Pair will be handing out free promotional material, offering raffle prizes, and hosting demo games of the Pokemon Trading Card Game for all those interested. E-sports gaming center Contender will also maintain 4 free-to-play drop-in booths for multiplayer games for age-appropriate gamers at the event. Last but certainly not least is a ‘kissing booth’ set up by the Talbot Humane Society, which will give everyone a chance to interact with some friendly, furry faces. To accommodate the new vendors at the Fall Kickoff, a portion of the parking lot next to the Easton Visitors Center on South Harrison Street will be dedicated to children’s activities for both days of the event.
While downtown comes alive with activity and the feeling of seasonal warmth, Easton’s shops and unique retailers will welcome all visitors with special sales and savings for the autumn season. Local restaurants will also host tasting events, food and drink specials, as well as live performances. With around 80 shopping, dining, and entertainment venues, downtown Easton will be filled with autumnal fun and picture-perfect art for everyone to experience.
Fall Kickoff Weekend is made possible by the generous support of signature sponsor Preston Automotive Group, Bay Country Security and Safehouse LLC, the Town of Easton and the Easton Economic Development Corporation.
