USA TODAY PICKS GIANT CRAB DROP to compete!

Easton, MD – The First Night Talbot Giant Crab Drop has been nominated for the USA TODAY 2023 10Best Readers’ Choice travel awards! Their panel of travel experts selected Easton’s Giant Crab Drop as a contender for Best New Year’s Eve Drop, which just launched. Voters have four weeks to vote for the candidate of their choice at https://www.10best.com/awards/travel/best-new-years-eve-drop-2023/. A person can vote once a day for the run of the contest.

As a smallest town competing and the only town in Maryland, we need every vote across our state to win! You can help us do it! The link to vote will be on our social media at @DiscoverEaston – make sure to share and vote everyday through December 4!

Thirty Years of Awesome!

For thirty years, First Night Talbot has been a family friendly celebration and is open to everyone in the community. There is a crab drop at 9:00 PM and Midnight which draws large crowds every year! The crab was featured by CNN in 2014. The festivities include multiple venues across town, a children’s activity center, and exciting live performances from musical acts to fire juggling! Tell the world how much fun you have had over the years and help us get out the vote!! Voting ends Monday, December 4th and the winners will be announced on 10Best on Friday, December 15th at 12:00pm EST. You can read the official rules here.
