Discovering Easton: Weather Gage

Nothing in my life happens without coffee.

Whether I’m chasing kids, working out, shopping, or doing my actual job around Easton, I *HAVE* to do it with coffee in my hand. Any cup of joe will do in a pinch, but if I have my way, I’m getting my coffee at Weather Gage.

If you’re in Easton in the morning, you’re pretty likely to see me headed down Washington Street towards Federal, and Weather Gage.

Beyond it’s doors, a gleaming coffee shop styled after a luxury galley greets you. Its like stepping into the Titanic for breakfast (The Kate Winslet Half, and with a tastier ending).

Speaking of seafaring movies, they’re always showing a film of that bent to your right, giving you something to do while you wait.

Not that you’ll be waiting long. The staff is quick and friendly, which gives you just enough time to be tempting by their frankly absurdly tasty and beautiful pastries. Expertly crafted, their soft airy insides and perfectly flakey buttery crusts call to me like a siren each time I order… and today is one of those days where I give in and treat myself.

The treat is a chocolate croissant, perfect, as expected, to match my double-shot of espresso red eye. I take my coffee black, and Weather Gage’s smooth, smokey roast makes it a delight to drink, pastry or no.

Next time you’re in Easton and craving a pick-me-up, or maybe a little indulgence, set your sails on Weather Gage. Maybe I’ll see ya there. Just save me a croissant.
