I’m taking a break from my usual video to talk about Fall Kickoff.
October 4th and 5th, Downtown Easton will play host to Fall Kickoff, our big Fall Festival full of free activities, giveaways, live music, fall sales and specials, and so much more.
Friday, over two tons of expertly carved giant pumpkins (you know the massive pumpkins at the stand that you’d need a truck to even get home?) will line the streets of downtown for our famous pumpkin trail. There will be over 40 pumpkins and 3 live carvings on Friday night!
You’ll also want to be here Friday for October’s First Friday Gallery Walk. Our gallery walks are always fantastic and popular, but with downtown embracing all things fall, it will be a special evening. Not to mention the Pretty in Pink Fine Art Sale at the Waterfowl building. If you love art, Friday the 4th is a great time to be in Easton.
Be sure to check out our FREE movie night at the Academy Art Museum lawn on Friday night where we’ll be showing The Addams Family. Bring a blanket, a chair, and the whole family!
Saturday we’re introducing something *I’m* very excited about, our Kids Activity Area at 11 South Harrison St. From 11 am to 4 pm, Kids can enjoy fun activities with Easton’s YMCA, decorate cookies with The BeWithMe: Playseum, get some cute animal love from Talbot Humane Society’s animal kissing booth, and enjoy Trading Card game giveaways, free raffles and demos from Two Pair Collectibles. And right down the street, the Academy Art Museum will host their popular pumpkin painting. Grab a pumpkin, paint it, and take it home with you!
You enjoy free live music, free carriage rides, free juggling demonstrations, and entertainment by Cascading Carlos, not to mention fantastic fall sales and food and drink specials at participating downtown businesses.
Speaking of businesses, I’m excited to announce our new storefront decorating contest. Watch Discover Easton’s Facebook, website, or check downtown for how you can vote for the best fall-decorated stores downtown to crown a winner.
We’ve been gearing up for this for quite a while, and we’re very excited about this year’s Fall Kickoff. We can’t wait to see you there on the 4th and 5th! I hope you’ll come out, and we can Discover this part of Easton, together.
