Guitarist Van Williamson will play at the new Spiralis Gallery on 35 E Dover St on Sunday, February 16th from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm!
Van Williamson has worked in small and large ensembles around the Delmarva area, including the Delmarva Big Band, the Queen Anne’s Chorale, Jeff Antoniuk’s Jazz Band Masterclass, the Bay Jazz Project, the Joe Baione Trio, the Dragonfly Boys, and is currently performing with his own trio and a Latin Beatles band, Los DayTrippers. He has performed at many venues in DC, Annapolis, Rehoboth Beach, Kent Island, Easton, etc. and has worked as a solo and in a duo or trio at the Rehoboth Jazz Festival since its inception. He was for many years a producer on NPR’s Morning Edition and other NPR programs, and was the director of Morning Edition before retiring to devote more time to music. As an independent radio producer, he created the long-running music-variety program Radio from Downtown at the Avalon Theatre in Easton, MD.
