9s Studios proudly presents Nature’s Cycle: A Visual Narrative, a solo exhibit by the established painter and collagist Marcia Reed. This is the first exhibit of 9s Studios located in the center of the Arts and Entertainment District of Easton on the Eastern shore of Maryland. This exhibit showcases 14 original large works and are on display through April 25, 2025. In Nature’s Cycle: A Visual Narrative, Reed intricately captures the beauty and fragility of nature’s cycles through a series of thought- pro- voking paintings and mixed media works on paper. This exhibit invites viewers to reflect on the interconnected shifts in all seasons both outside and in. Reed’s work has deter- mined motion in its energy, color, and complex layering like nature itself. In her Artist Statement, Marcia Reed shares; As a painter for me it is more about the process than the outcome and to trust that nudge and direction the painting is leading me. I want to be aware of the subtle currents upstream while understanding my place in nature; Marcia Reed, a resident of Milford, Delaware since 2012, is a painter and the owner of Gallery 37: A Destination for Artful Living. Originally from western Massachusetts, she holds a BFA in Art Education and an MFA in Painting from the University of
Massachusetts. After retiring from a 35-year teaching career at the Williston Northampton School in Easthampton, MA, Reed opened Gallery 37 in Milford in 2012. The gallery features a diverse range of artists’; works, including her own, and has become a renowned destination for art lovers in the region.
