Over the past few months, the @academyartmuseum has made significant strides regarding 106 Talbot Lane, including house demolition, an archaeological excavation, and the lifting of an entire structure.
The site was once the home of Henny and James Freeman beginning in the 1780s. The ...Freemans are one of the earliest documented free Black landowning families in Easton. The creation of AAM's future annex will not only provide administrative space but also commemorate the historical significance of the Hill community.
