What’s Up? Media, one of the largest magazine publishers in the State of Maryland, is a media sponsor of Discover Easton’s inaugural Chesapeake Fire & Ice Festival Presented by Preston Automotive Group. The festival is a three-day ice carving event coming to downtown Easton February 14-16, 2020.
The Chesapeake Fire & Ice Festival will feature dozens of ice sculptures spread throughout Easton’s historic district. The Discover Easton Signature Event will kick off with a Friday night Ice Block Party on February 14. The celebration will feature live ice sculpture demonstrations, music, fire performances, entertainment, and the unveiling of the weekend’s ice sculptures with a self-guided tour and light display.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Discover Easton for an event unlike any the town and community of Easton has seen before,” What’s Up? Media Editorial Director James Houck said. “It’s going to be an experiential marvel!”
The weekend festivities will include activities for all ages like the Family Fun Center hosted by The Country School at the Waterfowl Building, “For the Love of Books” hosted by the Talbot County Free Library, and a downtown, outdoor ice-skating rink sponsored by Anne Arundel Medical Center.
The Fire & Ice Stews ‘n Brews event, in partnership with the Easton Volunteer Fire Department, will feature local chefs offering small bites, a stew cook-off, and local breweries with craft beer samples on Saturday, February 15. There will be weekend entertainment all over town, seasonal sales, restaurant specials, and more to be announced.
“We are so excited to bring a new winter event to downtown Easton,” Discover Easton Executive Director Ross Benincasa said. “To have a media partner like What’s Up? Media come on board just shows that the Chesapeake Fire & Ice Festival will be a destination for people from all of Maryland.”
