Studio B Art Gallery invites art lovers and collectors to experience By the Shores, a new exhibition opening on Friday, June 6, during Easton’s First Friday Gallery Walk. The gallery will host an Art Salon style opening reception from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., where guests can enjoy an evening of fine art, conversation, and refreshments in the heart of downtown Easton.
June’s featured artist is the acclaimed Hiu Lai Chong, who will be in attendance for the opening. Known for her vivid color palette and expressive brushwork, Chong brings emotion and atmosphere to every canvas. Her work has earned widespread recognition, including the prestigious Grand Prize and Artist’s Choice Award at the 2012 Plein Air Easton competition. Her artistic achievements have been profiled in Plein Air Magazine, Fine Art Connoisseur, Southwest Art, Elan Magazine, HillRag, and the book 100 Plein Air Painters of the Mid-Atlantic.
“Hiu Lai’s ability to capture the essence of coastal life with such vibrancy and emotion is truly remarkable,” Studio B Art Gallery owner Betty Huang said. “We are honored to showcase her talent in this special exhibit.”
The exhibit will feature coastal-inspired paintings from many of the other featured award-winning artists of Studio B, each piece promising to transport viewers to serene waterside scenes, perfectly timed for the start of the summer season. The exhibit showcases the relationship between land, sea, and sky, with works that celebrate the beauty of our region’s shorelines.
Join us at Studio B Art Gallery on June 6 to meet Hiu Lai Chong in person and enjoy a pre-summer evening surrounded by exceptional art.
