Call for Submissions to the 15th Annual Chesapeake Film Festival

The Chesapeake Film Festival is seeking films in the following categories: Environmental Features and Shorts, Narrative Features and Shorts, Documentary Features and Shorts, Romantic Comedy, Thriller/Sci-Fi, Films Made in Maryland, Student Shorts, Animations and Maryland Heritage Films.

It is our mission to enrich, entertain, educate, and inspire by bringing the finest films to the Chesapeake Bay community and to the world. The Chesapeake Film Festival will continue to shed light on topics that impact the Maryland Eastern Shore and the vast watershed we call the Chesapeake Bay.

Entering its 15th year, the Chesapeake Film Festival plans a three-day LIVE event and speakers at our flagship venues September 30 through October 2. Our venues include the beautiful historic Avalon Theatre in downtown Easton.

A seven-day international Virtual Festival continues the excitement from Monday, October 3 through Sunday, October 9.

Our commitment to collaboration, unity, diversity and the celebration of arts and artists is our emphasis, as we endeavor to present the best cinematic works and speaker events by artists from around the world. Also central to our message this year will be to highlight women’s achievements in independent cinema. We uniquely feature local artists with a Made in Maryland category, and pair emerging artists and more established artists with a commitment to diversity in the subjects of selected films and among our filmmakers.

Please submit your film for consideration to this year’s festival.
