The Avalon Theatre’sFirst LIVE TICKETED SHOW is on stage this Saturday Night at 7pm. Featuring the MUST HEAR sounds of PRESSING STRINGS (only 20 tickets will be sold to this show)
“THIS IS AN EXCELLENT BAND AND AN EXCELLENT SHOW. I AM NOT JUST SAYING THIS, THEY MAY BE THE PERFECT BAND TO WATCH LIVE THIS WEEKEND”…Scott Milligan, Avalon Theatre
SOUNDS AS COOL AS : Dylan, Marley, Strummer, Simon, and Withers.

“Put very simply. Pressing Strings is one of the best bands in the state of Maryland. Their groove is retro, super cool and powerful when they hit their stride which somehow they do to different effects in each and every tune. The trio just knows where to go on every outstanding groove they play and I and many others have always loved the journey. Sounds that are current and classic at the same time, you and your college age kids (friends) will love then just the same. Without a doubt” Suzy Moore Avalon Theatre

“Toeing the line between hometown darlings and rising stars, these boys-next-door exude the laid-back authenticity you might expect to come out of Maryland.“ –Lydia Woolever  Baltimore Magazine

“One day, the world is going to wake up and wonder why it’s taken too long for Pressing Strings to receive the national recognition they so richly deserve.” –Bob Waugh, Program Director WRNR

“I didn’t know a lot about them, but after the first few songs I found myself getting sucked into their soulful style and pressing “Follow” on Spotify. Sokel is an incredible guitarist with a smooth voice and Welker and Bartlett blend in perfectly. Their 40 minute did not disappoint as it captivated the crowd” Lou Raimondi IMPRINT ENTERTAINMENT

Easton’s Farmers Market
SPECIAL NOTICE
Due to a new construction project, the market has moved back to N Harrison Street.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Easton Drive-Thru Farmers Market since April. Easton earned national acclaim for its quick and creative thinking in reinventing the market to reflect the challenges faced by COVID 19.

While the FAA moved quickly to approve the Avalon Foundation’s use of the old Black & Decker parking lot to create a drive-thru market, now a long-planned construction project on the site means that the market had to safely return to downtown Easton.

The current market will occupy both the parking lot on Harrison Street (its original location) and the other side of the lot that connects to Washington Street. This allows the market to promote appropriate social distancing without losing vendors. parking is available off of Harrison Street via Brewer’s Lane or off Washington Street in the former Safeway lot. Please utilize the crosswalks when approaching the market.

The Easton Farmers Market will operate under a public assembly permit from the Town of Easton and Talbot County government, meaning that either entity could close the market if vendors or customers fail to follow public safety rules. For this reason, it is the responsibility of everyone to both follow the rules AND call out/refuse service to customers who fail to do so. Please help keep this market alive and as safe as possible.
Masks that cover both noses and mouths will be required of everyone at the market – vendors and shoppers alike. The new market layout will be such that every other space in the lot(s) will be utilized. Patrons should enter and exit the market through the roads and never cut between vendors. All produce and products will be displayed behind the vendor’s sales tables. Customers will not have direct access to product to keep multiple hands from touching the produce or products. Customers will be served one at a time keeping appropriate social distance from one another.
Pre-ordering and prepaying whenever possible is still encouraged, as is the frequent use of hand sanitizer between transactions.

*********Please do not come to the market if you are feeling sick or have been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID 19.

Be patient, respectful and courteous especially as everyone is navigating this change back to downtown Easton. Consider using time before or after your trip to the market to visit local downtown shops, restaurants and merchants who all need your support more than ever.

If you’d like to see who will be at this week’s market, please use our interactive map available through the Farmers Market website or by clicking on the link provided below.

For your safety and safety of our vendors, please wear your mask.
