This may come as a shock, but I am not a woman. However, there’s a woman’s boutique whose display window I make a point to check out every time I go down South Harrison Street. That’s because La Dee Da doesn’t just have style, it has attitude.
Its bold looks and colors will be familiar to anyone who frequents downtown. La Dee Da has earned its spot as a downtown Easton mainstay through sheer force of personality. It’s a boutique with attitude, and a certain kind of fun-loving lady will find both bold fashions on the racks and kindred spirits on staff. Last month, I brought one such lady, my friend Tonda, by La Dee Da, and she came out with two big bags and even bigger smile on her face.
There’s no surprise why: Tonda is a big personality, and La Dee Da has the bright colors, wild textures, and bold jewelry to match it. Right now, the entire shop is decked out in bright colors and fun patterns for Spring, begging for someone to take them home for Mother’s Day. It almost feels like Summer already in La Dee Da, but they’re dramatically fun all year round.
In fact, I can’t promise I won’t end up in a giant coat from them next winter. I fell in love with one last year, and I feel like I totally could’ve pulled it off. But don’t take my word for it. If you’ve got a surplus of sass, a need to stand out, or you have a bright laugh and need the wardrobe to match, check out La Dee Da yourself!
