The Second Annual Eastern Shore Witch Paddle

The Oaks invites the community to grab their brooms (paddles) and join the 2nd annual Eastern Shore Witch Paddle, a costumed, stand-up paddleboarding event with pink purpose.

The event aims to raise $40,000 for breast cancer awareness and treatment after surpassing their inaugural event goal of $30,000 in 2025. Proceeds will benefit the the Clark Comprehensive Breast Center at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health, which serves patients across the Eastern Shore.

This year, the spotlight is on paddle teams. Local businesses and organizations are encouraged to join the “Magic Chamber” by sponsoring a team, complete with an original team name, creative social media reel, and personal “paddle-on” song. But attendees don’t need a paddleboard to join the fun. The event will also include a variety of food, festivities and entertainment on shore including pumpkin painting, face painting, ghost stories and an after-launch party for adults. Costumes and donations are encouraged but not required. A VIP pier is available for those donating $150 or more. Warning: All Elphabas are encouraged to stay out of the water for fear of melting.
