Talbot County Reads the Declaration of Independence

Join Talbot County in a community-wide reading of the Declaration of Independence as part of America's 250th anniversary.

On July 8, residents, organizations, and communities across Talbot County are invited to read the Declaration of Independence together. The Talbot250 Commission will host a public reading on the Talbot County Courthouse lawn in downtown Easton, welcoming all who wish to participate or listen.

Whether you attend the Easton reading or host your own with friends, neighbors, or an organization, this initiative is an opportunity to reflect on the words that shaped our nation and celebrate our shared history.
