Organized by Director of Education, Matthew Moore, this exhibition features work by AAM instructors, students, and members of the education community. Participating artists were invited to submit works that examine the artistic process itself, by highlighting the often difficult decision of knowing when a piece is truly finished. The theme of the exhibition presents an opportunity for community members to take chances by showing works that they are either unsure of, or that expands on what they are most commonly known for in terms of style or subject matter. Through a variety of approaches, the works in this show each reveal vulnerability, and question the idea of mastery, acknowledging that the evolution of an artist is always in progress.
