This class will teach you the basics of woodworking while creating and finishing your very own cutting board. The first of many classes at The Market at Dover Station will feature local legend, Howard Hughes, a veteran and accomplished machinist and woodworker with over 1,600 cutting boards to his name. You and your classmates will experience a professional woodshop hosted by Sean Harmer of Rivr House Furniture.

Day one will consist of a 30 minute lesson on the art of wood by Howard, after which you’ll proceed to design, clamp and glue your own board. You will be provided with six different types of wood, including walnut, maple, cherry and more. After glue dries, complete and pick up at your convenience (next day or later).
