Join us at 9S Studios and Washington, D.C. based artist Lely Constantinople for a hands-on exploration of the historic cyanotype process, a fascinating photographic technique developed in the 1840s that uses sunlight and simple chemistry to create distinctive Prussian blue-and-white photographs.
You will learn how iron salts react to UV light โ๏ธ, turning your personal objects into unique photographic prints. This workshop covers the fundamentals of the cyanotype process, from preparing the light-sensitive solution to proper exposure using sunlight, as well as basic developing techniques.
