Join us at Zach Gallery for an engaging Artist Talk with Brett Day Windham.
The artist will be at the gallery from 1–4 PM and will present a comprehensive overview of her work beginning at 2 PM, featuring a slideshow presentation and discussion of her artistic process and inspiration.
We invite you to meet the artist, enjoy the presentation, and learn more about her work! The Artist Talk will be followed by a closing reception.
In Gathering the Chesapeake, Windham has used flora and fauna specimens from the Chesapeake Bay collected by Zach Gallery, the Academy Art Museum, and students from The Gunston School’s Chesapeake Watershed Semester. Over the course of the past year, the collected specimens were mailed to the artist in her Rhode Island studio where she created the hand-painted cyanotypes currently installed.
