Get ready for a joyous celebration with festive lights and music in Downtown Easton during Easton’s Holiday Parade on Saturday, December 6th, at 6:30 pm.
Enjoy over 60 decked-out vehicles, floats, and novelties ready to spread the festive holiday spirit to all. The evening will begin with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus at 5:30 pm in Thompson Park and the annual tree lighting at 6 pm. The Talbot County Chamber of Commerce and the Talbot Young Professionals will be present in the park for Toys for Tots. This initiative has helped provide gifts for children and made a positive impact on families in the community every holiday season. Framptom Funeral Home will also be handing out hot cocoa.
The parade will then start at 6:30 pm. The parade route will run from Talbot Town, south on Harrison Street, loop on South Street, and head north on Washington Street, past a panel of judges at the courthouse.
Entries will be judged on Best Nonprofit, Best Business, and Best Marching Band. Soistman Family Dentistry & Associates will once again sponsor the People’s Choice Award for the parade night, with Discover Easton providing a website link for voters to choose their favorite float.
“The Holiday Parade really brings out the best of who we are as a town,” said Holly DeKarske, Executive Director of the Easton Economic Development Corporation. “Everyone has a chance to make a family’s holiday better by participating in Toys For Tots, people get to see our town’s businesses and organizations come together and celebrate with them in the streets, and families watch their kids be outstanding with their classmates in our local school bands. It is a special tradition that I’m happy to be a part of.”
