Easton Prayer Breakfast to Be Held October 16

On Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 7 to 9 a.m., Easton’s Prayer Breakfast will be held at Easton Volunteer Firehouse, 315 Leonard Rieck Drive, Easton, MD. This year’s breakfast will feature speaker Chaplain Daron Miller, and catering will be by Jamie. The Master of Ceremonies is Sheriff Joe Gamble, and the music will be performed by Deputy John Coleman. The program will also recognize the memory of founders Bob and Liz Dunsmoor, and the Knights of Columbus Essay winner Chase Olavsrud.

Daron Miller served 13 years as a Navy SEAL, where he first heard the gospel and discovered how God meets people even in the most challenging places. After completing his time in the Navy, he began faithfully taking the next steps he believed God was placing before him, a pattern he calls “next step obedience.” That path led him to Talbot Bible Church and then to Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary, where he earned a Master of Divinity and prepared for a life of ministry. Today, Miller serves as an Army National Guard Chaplain and as a Chaplain at Heron Point, an ACTS Retirement Life Community in Chestertown, Maryland. In both roles, he has the privilege of walking alongside individuals and families through seasons of joy and times of hardship, offering the hope and comfort of Christ. Daron and his wife, Barb, have been married for 32 years and are raising two daughters together on the Eastern Shore.

Reflecting on his journey, Miller shares, “God never calls us without also equipping us. Through His grace, He provides His power, His love, and the discipline to accomplish all that He calls us to.” He adds, “My story is not about my own strength, but about God’s lovingkindness and faithfulness to equip us for His purposes.”

Tickets to the 2025 Easton Prayer Breakfast may be purchased at the Dairy Queen or by contacting prayerbreakfasteaston@gmail.com. The cost is $20 a person.
