New Entrance to Talbot County Community Center Opening Soon

Vehicular access to the Talbot County Community Center will soon change. A new entrance will open this month as the current entrance from U.S. Route 50 is scheduled to close later this year.

The temporary closure of U.S. Route 50 entrance is necessary for roadway improvements to support the new University of Maryland Shore Regional Medical Center. During this time, all visitors, including those attending recreation programs, ice rink activities, sports leagues, and events, will need to use the new entrance located on Longwoods Rd (Route 662) or the back entrance at Hiners Lane.

Maps and signage will be posted to guide visitors to the new entrance. Updates will be shared on the Talbot County Parks & Recreation website and social media channels, including the exact date for the Route 50 entrance closure.
