Celebrate Parks and Recreation Month with Play Across Talbot!

July is National Parks and Recreation Month, and Talbot County is joining the nationwide celebration by recognizing the vital role parks and recreation play in building strong, healthy communities. It’s also a time to thank the dedicated Talbot County Parks and Recreation staff who make these programs and spaces possible all year long.

To mark the occasion, Talbot County Parks and Recreation will host a series of pop-up park events throughout July, offering free family-friendly fun and opportunities to connect with nature, neighbors, and local organizations. Talbot County Parks and Recreation is partnering with ShoreRivers, Bellevue Passage Museum, Off Course Disc Golf, Talbot County Free Library and more to bring engaging activities to the community parks.

“Our goal with the pop-up events is to provide a space for citizens and our community partners to have fun outdoors.” said Ellie Kilmon, Programs Coordinator for Talbot County Parks and Recreation. “We hope to highlight our parks, connect with residents, and show appreciation for the people who help make these spaces thrive.”
