2019 BAAM Festival Draws Crowd

Building African American Minds (BAAM) Inc. hosted its 5th Annual BAAM Fest in May at Idlewild Park in Easton, MD with over 400 people in attendance. The Fest celebrated with 23 partners who BAAM has collaborated with in helping African American males become productive, confident citizens through positive academic, social, emotional, and spiritual experiences as children and young men.  There were informational booths, musical entertainment by The Exclusives from Bowie, MD, DJ Chyna, giveaways and door prizes, face painting by Jolie Faces, a clown show, Cascading Carlos’ Juggling show, dance contest, a basketball tournament, and a photo booth for setting up a fun Mother’s Day picture with mom. Free food and refreshments were provided by Frase’s Grills on Wheels of Preston. BAAM is supported by many generous donors and by the United Fund of Talbot County. For further information, contact Debbi Short at 410-714-3838 or visit BAAM’s Facebook page.
