The month of October marks the 10th anniversary of @trippegallery in Easton! Throughout October, the gallery will be featuring ...works based on a theme of “10” to commemorate the anniversary. There will also be a special reception on October 6th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Frederick Douglass Honor Society's annual Frederick Douglass Day celebration returns this Saturday at 10:30 a.m!

The day will also include a welcome ceremony at the @talbotcountyfreelibrary, a fascinating Douglass lecture from Dr. Derrick R. Spires at the Talbot County Free ...Library, live entertainment, a special book signing with Jeff McGuiness, photographer and author of Bear Me Into Freedom at @vintagebookseaston and Fine Art, and more.

Carve out some time for Easton's Fall Kickoff October 6th and October 7th! Shop, dine and stroll the giant pumpkin trail in downtown Easton Friday and Saturday. Shops and Galleries will be open, ready to help you stock up for the fall season.

Friday night between 3pm and 6pm watch ...live pumpkin carvings from our friends at @icelabusa. Friday night also offers live outdoor music, popup tapas bar with @hambletonhouseevents, and many downtown restaurants will have autumn inspired specials and cocktails. Free pumpkin painting and a free outdoor showing of The Nightmare Before Christmas at @academyartmuseum. Downtown galleries will host their First Friday Gallery Walk from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The fun continues Saturday with storytime and crafts at the @talbotcountyfreelibrary, gorgeous designer table scaping displays in select spots and restaurants in town and the artfully designed pumpkins will be on display all day and night. If you act fast, you can also grab a ticket for the @eastonbeerfest!

The @academyartmuseum has some outstanding programming coming up!

To any budding and experienced filmmakers out there, there is still a chance to enter the 48-Hour Video Race! Filmmakers will have just 48 hours to shoot, edit, and submit a video by the deadline of Sunday, September 17 at 5... p.m. Directors will have the chance to create a one-to-seven-minute video that will be screened at AAM on Friday, September 22.

The Academy will also host another exciting book talk this Friday night with Tania James! James will discuss her new novel Loot, an NPR “Most Anticipated Book of Summer,” with Shore Lit's Founder Kerry Folan.
