Vocalist, composer, and producer Coniece Washington sings from her heart, captivating audiences with her incomparable, distinctive, sultry, sweet stylings. Over the course of her ascending career, she has uniquely reinterpreted standards while honoring the legacy of the vocalists who influence and inspire her: Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Shirley Horn, Billie Holiday, and Carmen McRae. Coniece has performed at the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival, DC Jazz Festival, and the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival.
Coniece is joined by Iva Ambush, a scat-singing jazz vocalist from Frederick, Maryland, who has also performed at numerous venues with rave reviews, including the DC Jazz Festival and the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival. Iva completed an “Emerging Artists Workshop” with Ronnie Wells at the Elliston Studio for Jazz Studies and honed her vocal talents through private lessons with bebop legend, Sheila Jordan.
Backed by pianist Pete Frassrand, bassist David Marsha, and drummer Nick Costa, these two lovely ladies promise one special evening of incredible, ineffable, improvisational jazz!
