GLASS WORKSHOP: Stripes = July 31st, starting at 6pm. $48 +tax.
You asked, we listened:
This Stripes Glass workshop is an easy class for people that have been wanting to create glass pieces with their children/grandchildren. Families will start out with a white or clear blank. Choose your design from several precut pieces or we can teach you how to score and cut the pieces (Children under 12 are discouraged from using the glass tools to cut, but they certainly can help safely break the glass.) Each piece will have it's own personality by the way it is assembled and what colors are chosen.
Our project is designed to be used with a stand. Stands may be purchased for an additional $15 +tax from us. -OR- You can also choose to have it slumped into a swoop platter or Dilworth (edged) platter for no additional charge.
We require masks to be worn. The rooms and tables will be set up for social distancing.
Other safety measures: We ask everyone to wear gloves when handling the glass and tools. We have gloves available at no charge in the studio to use. If you prefer to bring your own gloves you are welcome to. -- Eye wear protection is available. We bleach the glasses between use.
You are welcome to bring beverages of your choice. Please provide any glassware that you need. We do have a corkscrew.
Glass can take up to three weeks to come out of the kiln. We will call you when the your masterpiece is ready for pick-up.
