Each year Easton celebrates Irish heritage during our St. Patrick’s Day festivities! The celebrations include an afternoon tea service at the Academy Art Museum at 2 p.m. The annual parade begins at 5:30 p.m. and features over 40 floats and local bands. The Annual Potato Races will take place on Washington Street immediately following the parade.
Galleries extend their hours and invite you on a tour of artistic adventure. New exhibits tend to open on First Friday, the gallery owners often serve lite bites and refreshments! You will also find other downtown retailers are open and invite you in their businesses. Make dinner reservations and spend the entire evening in beautiful Downtown Easton.
From 5-8 p.m. on First Friday, the galleries extend their hours and invite you on a tour of artistic adventure. The Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring local produce, artisan crafts, and much more. Our participating local retailers will feature in-store specials & promotions plus sweet treats, lite bites, and refreshments. All weekend our Easton restaurants will prepare the finest meals, craft unique specials, and offer a variety of beverage options. On Sunday, make plans to join us for brunch specials.
Come downtown to celebrate Easter weekend at the town’s annual Egg Hunt! Over 4,000 eggs will be spread out on the Talbot County Courthouse lawn. Also enjoy free face painting and an appearance by the Easter Bunny.

Join our downtown merchants as they clear out their racks and make room for new inventory at the annual 4th of July sidewalk sale! This cash-and-carry sale will offer clothing, apparel, home furnishings, and more! In addition to great deals there will be live music and other fun activities.
Maryland’s largest indoor craft beer festival features brews from all over the mid-Atlantic. It takes place at the Easton Volunteer Fire Department Firehouse at 315 Aurora Park Drive. Live music, food, vendors, raffles, and games of chance will also be at the fest. Proceeds from ticket sales goes towards supporting the EVFD. Join us and vote for your favorite craft beer and brewery. You may win tickets to next year’s festival!
Our local businesses get into the Waterfowl Festival spirit with a friendly competition each year. Come see the creative window decorations each participating merchant will create. Stop in to find unique gift buying opportunities and other special promotions. You can vote for the People’s Choice Award via social media. Post a picture of your favorite window on Facebook or Instagram with #WaterfowlWindows to participate!
Small Business Saturday supports the independently-owned businesses that create jobs and help make local economies thrive. The Easton Business Alliance will be at Thompson Park with the Shop Small Welcome Station at 10 a.m. There you can find Shop Small swag, sales and promotions information, and all the things needed to plan for the shopping event. Drop by early for a special breakfast treat! In addition to sales and unique gift buying opportunities, there will be music on the streets and much more.
Celebrate the start of the holiday season in downtown Easton! Our wonderful shops will be open until 10 p.m. with refreshments, snacks, and sales all night long. Free Pictures with Santa will be held at the historic Bullitt House (102 E Dover St.) 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Enjoy music throughout the town as we ring in the holiday season! The highlight of the annual event is the chance to win one of our raffle baskets, each worth over $1,500 in prizes! Look for posters in the windows of participating merchants to collect your raffle tickets during November and leading up to the event. The more you spend, the more you earn. You must be there for the 10 p.m. drawing for your chance to win!
Festivities start at 6 p.m. with the Easton Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Thompson Park. The parade begins around 6:30 p.m. and loops around downtown Easton and features over 60 unique floats, classic cars, local bands, and Santa himself. Come downtown early and do your holiday shopping, grab a bite to eat, and find a great spot along the route to watch the parade.
We are proud to partner with The Tidewater Inn to offer FREE horse drawn carriage rides during the holiday season! The carriage leaves from the front of The Tidewater Inn and travels the historic streets of downtown Easton. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience a unique holiday tradition during the most wonderful time of the year!
The independently owned retail community of downtown Easton brings charm and leisure to the holiday shopping season with Sip & Shop Sundays. Each Sunday leading up to Christmas, retail stores in Historic Easton hold special hours and invite shoppers to enjoy their holiday gift buying in a charming, small-town Christmas atmosphere. Retailers will offer in-store treats and refreshments for all ages from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Every shop will have special deals, unique gifts, and in-store promotions. The Easton Business Alliance will arrange for festive music on the sidewalk each Sunday to compliment the charming decorations found throughout town. Bring the family and enjoy your holiday shopping!
First Night Talbot’s history spans over 25 years, and it is currently the last running First Night celebration in the State of Maryland! Marketed as a family-friendly, alcohol-free New Year’s Eve celebration, First Night has entertainment and fun for the whole family. Spread out among premier venues in downtown Easton, Maryland, and culminating with the world-famous crab drop at midnight (and 9 p.m. for the early birds).
