Description

Shearer the Jeweler opened for business in Easton in 1926.  Abraham Shearer, a watchmaker by trade, opened his business as a full service retail jewelry store.  In addition to a selection of fine jewelry, Shearer offered watches and clocks, giftware and repair service.

In 1950, Morton Shearer took over the business for his father.  The business expanded as Easton and Talbot County grew in population.  Morton and his wife Eunice continued a tradition as the demand for fine jewelry and gifts grew as well.

In 1980 Steve Shearer joined his parents in the family business.  Steve became the third generation to operate and own the business.  Today, Steve, a Graduate Gemologist, is assisted by a knowledgeable staff with over ninety years of combined jewelry experience.  Offering the services of a goldsmith on the premises, the business has continued its tradition as a full service retail jeweler.

With a history that has extended over ninety years, Shearer the Jeweler is an Easton landmark.  A large selection of fine jewelry for every taste, timepieces and elegant giftware are reflected throughout the store.
