Tidewater Inn announced as Hospitality Sponsor for the inaugural Chesapeake Fire & Ice Festival

EASTON, Md. – Discover Easton is pleased to present the historic Tidewater Inn as the Hospitality Sponsor for the inaugural Chesapeake Fire & Ice Festival February 14-16, 2020 in downtown Easton.

First opened in 1949, the Tidewater Inn has hosted countless weddings, corporate retreats, and famous faces like Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, and others in downtown Easton over its 70-year history.

Tidewater Inn opened the Tidewater House after restoration efforts were completed in fall 2019.

“We are very excited to have Tidewater Inn participate in the Chesapeake Fire & Ice Festival as our Hospitality Sponsor,” Discover Easton Executive Director Ross Benincasa said. “When we first started planning this event, the Tidewater Inn was always envisioned as a significant partner, both due to their location and more importantly their previous support of community events. We know our out-of-town guests will love staying at the historic Tidewater Inn during their visit.”

The inaugural Chesapeake Fire & Ice Festival will feature ice sculptures, live carvings, ice skating, a Family Fun Center, Stews ‘n Brews event, music and more in historic Easton this February. The three-day event was created to offer families and couples from around the region a fun winter weekend to enjoy Easton’s downtown and the Eastern Shore while perusing professionally-carved sculptures.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with Discover Easton as the Hospitality Sponsor for the inaugural Fire & Ice Festival in Easton,” Tidewater Inn General Manager Lauren Catterton said. “It is events like the Fire & Ice Festival that brings our community together all while giving us the opportunity to welcome visitors to Easton. The Waterfowl Festival, Plein Air, Concert in the Streets, and now the Fire & Ice Festival along with many others creates an extraordinary energy on the streets of Easton. We are looking forward to this wonderful event just steps from the Tidewater Inn.”
