“Making music is a collective experience— once they reach an audience, that’s when my songs come alive…” — Sarah Bernstein
Armed only with her guitar and a story to tell, Sarah began performing across the Eastern Shore at fourteen. Her first EP “Man in the Moon” was recorded in Germany in 2012 and in 2013, her original song “Boomerang” was a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition.
A decade and a degree later, the Salisbury native is a songwriter in New York City. Her recently released album “Spellbound” is inspired by the ever-evolving relationship between her roots and life in the city.
Defined by her unapologetic lyrics and infectious melodies, Sarah blurs the line between contemporary pop and the traditional singer/songwriter genre. The result is a musical style all her own that captivates audiences long after the final chord is played.
