Saxophonist Anthony Cannon, born in St. Michaels, Maryland, began playing clarinet at age 9, then switched to the saxophone several years later.
Since performing at a local open-mic blues and jazz venue in the metro Baltimore/DC area, where he gained a reputation for playing blues and top cover tunes from R&B and rock/pop, he’s gone on to play gigs with some of the best smooth jazz artists around, like Nils, Cal Harris, Jr., super-jazz group DW3, Blake Aaron, Dee Brown, and many others.
