Easton Beer Fest and Chesapeake Fire & Ice Festival present Stews & Brews February 15

Discover Easton and the Easton Volunteer Fire Department are proud to present the inaugural Fire & Ice Stews & Brews event on February 15. Stews & Brews will feature approximately 25 local breweries serving unlimited tastings of their craft selections, joined by ten local eateries competing in a friendly competition for best stew and small bite of the event. Each competing chef will offer a sample of their homemade stews and will sell a variety of small bite creations for $2 or less. Festival goers will vote for the best stew and bite of the afternoon and one lucky winner will receive tickets to the 5th annual Easton Beer Fest on October 3, 2020.

“Our participating eateries are excited to be part of this fun new winter event,” Discover Easton Marketing & Events Coordinator Jeff Lankford said. “Their stews and bites are going to pair well with the unlimited beer samples being offered, and the chefs will be on hand to talk about their creations and offer hints toward their spring and summer menus.”

Veterans of Easton Beer Fest know to expect the best local brewers pouring unique craft creations, and Stews & Brews is no different. The event offers a unique opportunity to experience a wide selection of beers from breweries that are primarily located within a short drive from anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic region. Many brews are created here in Maryland and on the Eastern Shore.

In 2018, Governor Larry Hogan proclaimed “FeBREWary” as Maryland Craft Beer Lovers Month. FeBREWary is now an annual February celebration and partnership between the Brewers Association of Maryland and the Maryland Office of Tourism. Stews & Brews is proud to be part of the celebration of Maryland’s craft brewery scene.

Ticket holders will also enjoy live music by Jayme D & the rock band Edgemere. There will be vendors selling unique items and beer-related gifts. You can also participate in raffles and games of chance that support the Easton Volunteer Fire Department. Wine samples will be featured for the first time at a Beer Fest sponsored event, opening up new tasting possibilities.

“Fans of Easton Beer Fest say those firefighters know how to party” event organizer and Easton Volunteer Firefighter Chris Hash said. “We are ready to heat up the winter with Stews & Brews.”
