Discover Easton Director’s Report: October 2019

Typing this in 95-degree heat, it feels odd to write about Christmas and holiday events, but as of the first week in October we are only two months away from the Christmas in Easton festivities, and we are currently in the thick of planning all of our events for the winter season.

Below you’ll find a link to more information about our upcoming events, including an introduction to our holiday events and opportunities. In addition, we will be opening up registrations for the Easton Holiday Parade in the coming days and encourage our business community to think of great float ideas to enter into the parade. 

We also have a great feature on Elizabeth Claire Salon’s expansion from a hair salon to a full beauty-focused retail space in downtown Easton as part of our Discover Easton Spotlight series, as well as information regarding our jam-packed October events, including our featured events this weekend, such as the Easton Beer Fest, Chesapeake Film Festival, and the kick-off of For All Seasons’ No Matter What…You Matter Campaign. 

Finally, we recently gave a tour of downtown Easton to the ice carvers who will be leading the inaugural Chesapeake Fire & Ice Festival February 14-16, 2020. We are very excited for this weekend-long event, and have included more information here.
