As some stimulus packages dry up and new become available, we will be sending out periodic updates to businesses. We felt it was especially important for our business owners to know that this Friday Maryland will be rolling out a new unemployment filing system online, which will allow self-employed workers to claim unemployment.


Self-employed business owners able to file unemployement this Friday

Self-employed workers were covered in the original CARES Act, however were not able to file under Maryland’s current system. The Department of Labor will be premiering a new system this Friday that will finally allow self-employed workers and independent contractors to file their unemployment claim. Business owners not able to work are eligible for the federal $600/week stimulus. Learn More

Gift Card Program:

If you haven’t heard from us lately regarding the gift card program, it’s not that your business hasn’t sold any. We have paused most collection since the stay-at-home order due to the difficulty of arranging for pick-up, especially with staff no longer in the office. This week, we will be sending checks and order information to all local businesses that have had cards purchased over the last couple weeks.
