Bridging the musical traditions of bluegrass and roots from Ireland to the Appalachian, The 19th Street Band has an eclectic gypsy-rock spirit that brings together a constellation of Americana, country and rock.
The charismatic vibe that Caolaidhe Davis (guitar player and vocalist) blends with fiddle/mandolin player, vocalist (and wife), Meghan, creates a joy-filled chemistry that no crowd can resist. Add to the mix the talented rhythm section of Greg Hardin (bass) and Patty Dougherty (drums), and this band leaves every crowd enthralled.
In addition to doing an annual tour of Ireland, where they have performed live on BBC Radio Ulster, The 19th Street Band has opened for country music stars (such as Rodney Atkins) and Grammy Award-winning Western Swing icons, Asleep at the Wheel. They’ve also shared the stage with Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen, Larry Keel, and Kitchen Dwellers, and entertained crowds at the Charm City Bluegrass Festival, Iowa Irish Festival, and Annapolis Irish Festival, among other venues.
