The weather forecast for tomorrow is for sun after around 9:00 am so we are planning on firing up the outdoor pizza oven to bake our delicious homemade pizzas. Since pizza was invented in Napoli, we have chosen a wine from its region, Campania, the Otto Uve Grotta del Sole, from the winemaker Salvatore Martusciello.  His son Salvatore is continuing the tradition of “tipicita” or authenticity with his select wines including this Gragnano Otto Uve (eight grapes)  which has become a cult wine for fans of Neopolitan pizza. Gragnano is a blend of local indigenous grapes including Aglianico and Piedirosso. Young, fruity, lightly “frizzante” with a balanced acidity-serve it slightly chilled with our pizza, cured meats, cheeses and fried foods.

For your safety in this time of Covid, I have modified the tasting protocol-I will pour a sample and place it on the wooden table in the dining room. You can take off your mask, enjoy your sample, put your mask back on and continue shopping. https://www.piazzaitalianmarket.com/
