We are extremely excited to announce guest artist, Constance Melvin, from Rowdy Girl Mudhud will be bringing her wheels and teaching a clay throwing class at our studio.
Learn the basics of wheel-throwing pottery. Each person will get the chance to create one to two pieces on the potter’s wheel with help. Forms made are all unique! Typical class forms made are bowls, cups, small vases and dishes. The class is 90 minutes.
Clay is a two firing process: The greenware will then be placed into the kiln and fired to bisque. You will come back at a date convenient for you to paint your piece (within 30 days). Kiln Born will glaze and fire it a second time. Ceramics made will be available for pickup once the two-firing process is complete (one week after it has been painted).
The $60 fee includes all supplies, firings, paints and glazes.
We will be using a low-fire, earthenware clay that is food, microwave, and dishwasher safe. DO NOT use it on top of a burner or in the oven.
Payment must be made in full at the time of reservation. Payment is considered non-refundable unless we can find a replacement for your spot.
Limited to 6 people per class. If full, please call to be put on a waiting list.
